Class Prep - Day 7

It has officially been a week since beginning my class prep project!  I feel like I just finished building Rome!  ha.

I'm done posting progress days for now until AFTER school begins.  I don't want all my decorations to be viewed before my students get to see them!  :)  Today was quite productive.

Yeah - some 'border-shelves' were put up
b/c these boxes are too long to fit on the regular shelf w/out a lot of manuevering.

I told the kind-hearted craftsman I was going to put this on my blog - and he said not to name him ... so out of respect I will not.  However, this act of kindness just made my day.  Of course, he probably did it so I wouldn't get the crazy notion to 'do-it-myslef' ... b/c that would NOT have ended so well!  ;)

Workbooks ALL organized!  :D

Since my room was nearly finished, I needed to add yet another task so I had more to flit hither and yon to.  I hauled all the boxes of workbooks down to my class - unpacked them - sorted them - and then started organizing.  That was A LOT of paper!  I use the unbound 'books' b/c it's easier (for me) if the students can just be handed their worksheets outside of a thick book.





Woaw!  I was more of a strict teacher than I realized!

While going through my old files and purging, I found these papers.  I love how I wrote out what my student told me upon turning in these sentences.  "I wrote it 3 times extra to get it in my head more!"  *Cute*

Final touches of cleaning!  Woooo-Hooooo!!!

I absolutely love how that desk on the left looks like a cow tipped over!  hahhahhaha  At least that's what it reminds me of!  ;)  Started out my day w/cleaning these last 3 desks outside.  I didn't get a close up shot b/c they are really old desks, and need more TLC than I'm able to give them at this time.  Very happy w/how clean my room is .... but now the wheels are turnin', turnin', turnin' with all the ideas I have for my theme:  Keep on the Right Track!   :D
