Some girls from the church here let me "borrow" this movie several weeks backs - prior to Christmas! - and I didn't watch it until a few days ago. Now it has been what keeps me company these bitter cold nights when all you want to do is curl up in a big fluffy warm blanket and watch an incredibly good movie.
When I was "MUCH" younger, my sister, mom, and I watched it. I thought that movie would NEVER end. I couldn't understand half of what they were saying, and there were soooo many characters. Now I don't feel there's many characters at all, and I actually enjoy their language. On the way to school this morning, I was pondering language. I was wondering if Americans actually keep each other dumb, by trying to sound modern?? Complete sentences are almost a thing of the past and we talk as if we're "texting." If someone speaks "properly" these days, their almost viewed as being snobbish. Our way of communicating is almost too relaxed I feel. Isn't there a happy medium??
Well, I'm off. I have to finish some bulletin board extras before school tomorrow. I stayed later today to take down my old bulletin board and put my new "valentine" material up. I'll have to post pictures of all my boards when I'm done.
After that, I can be found watching Emma, awaiting the scene where she finally realizes she's in love with Mr. Knightly (no, seriously, that's his last name), and she fears how his brother, John, may advise him concerning her.
If he seems happy I'll know John has agreed that I would be the right one for him. I love John! Oh, but if he seems sad, I will know John did not agree and has advised otherwise. Uhh! I Hate John! How could he do this to me??"
That is definitely the Jessica rendition! Care to join me for a movie?? :)

If you enjoy Emma you should also watch Sense & Sensibility and Pride & Prejudice (the long version from the '90s). The new P&P is okay, but I think the extended (BBC?) version is better and affords many more nights of blissful chick flick watching.
