My Brain + Sleep Deprivation = Everyday Bloopers

I love math. I really do. I don't enjoy it so much when there's letters and powers involved, but "regular" math, I do enjoy. I like to solve problems. The joy and satisfaction that comes after you've finished putting the numbers in their place and have showed them who's boss, is GREAT!!

As in Grammar, where there's an exception to every rule, the exception for me would have to be what happened this morning. I've been working a lot this week, picking up extra hours, and just really have been going non-stop since last Friday. Every day has been so jam packed I actually can't remember how I get from one place to the next, or even what I've eaten.....if I've eaten! (Ps. I've eaten.....trust me, I'm not starving for nourishment by any stretch of the imagination!)

Last night I asked the Lord to make sure I got up in the morning b/c I knew it was going to be a rough one. Sure enough, don't remember hitting the snooze button, but I must have. The Lord definitely is the only one who could have woken me up b/c as most anyone knows, I sleep through just about everything!!!

On to the math part. So I'm getting ready for the day.....with my eyes shut b/c I don't have to the strength to keep them open while I was brushing my hair etc.... I'm sure you've had days like that, I can't be the only one, and I was trying to figure out in my head why I was so tired. I was calculating how many work hours are in my schedule this week, and I kept coming up with 41. I thought, I am NOT this tired from working ONE hour over a regular work week!! I tried doing the math different ways but kept coming up with the same answer. (*Remember I am doing this all in my head - no paper to look at.*) I finally decided I needed to start taking vitamins or something if I was this useless during a 41 hour work week.

Not satisfied with my conclusion, I knew I had to try one more time. So I started at the top. I'm working 4 days at the office, 8 hours each day which is 24, and then add in 17 from wmt. 8 x 4 = 24, plus the 17 = 41. If you caught it good for you.....yeah you're all awake and have had 2 or 3 meals already AND you got to see it written out. (no mercey)

Dahhhhhhhhh Jessica!! 8 x 4 is 32 Not 24!!!!!

Plus, I'll have 3 more hours at wmt which make 32 + 20 which equals 52!! I know there are people who work 80 hours a week, all the time, and I am here to tell you, if I ever become one of those people I will turn into the stupidest person you've ever met! (See it's already starting!!) I just cannot function without sleep. Started out pouring the wrong shampoo into my hand this morning when I was washing my hair, walked in and out of rooms 2 - 3 times before I remembered what I went there for in the first place, and everytime the phone rings I have to literally remind myself where my place of employment is BEFORE answering the phone or else I may just say, Hello like I'm at home -- or worse, Fabrics and Crafts, this is Jessica, can I help you. If I ever do that, I may just say, I'm sorry you have the wrong number -- we only carry small crafts, we don't design buildings!! ;) ha ha jk

My Name is Jessica Orr and I am not smarter than a 5th grader!
(At least not when I'm this sleepy!)

Gomenasai, Jessica-san, but it's a truth that Nihon-jins are much smarter than you gaijins; we know not only when you misspell words in your own native language...but we also know how to cipher! How do you say? What's up with that?!
