Today is a rainy, dreary day. Usually I love to watch a movie and snuggle up in a blanket on days like this, but I just couldn't get in a movie mood. So I asked my mom if she wanted to go down to Krispy Kreme and get a doughnut and a hot drink. She suggested Starbucks instead. We have starbucks shooting up all around us. I've never visited one. I'm not a coffee drinker, and I don't fit the "New York Lifestyle" with a Starbucks in one hand and a cell phone in the other.
Feeling the need to do something different though, my mom and I headed out for Starbucks! When I got there, thankfully there was a little bit of a line, and noone behind us, b/c not only was it difficult to read the menu, but it didn't even make any sense! I finally found something familiar! HOT CHOCOLATE!!
All I can say is baby steps! I finally made it to a Starbucks. I'll be adventurous next time and order something ending in "...ccino"! ;P My mom went ahead and made me look like a fuddy-duddy afraid of thinking-outside-the-box by ordering a caramel frappuccino. I had a taste though. It was pretty good. When we got in the car, she said, oh, this is cold. Is it suppose to be cold? I laughed and said, we are SO not Starbucks material!!! :) ha ha I convinced her it was suppose to be cold b/c it was a frappuccino, and not a cappuccino, but I have no idea if that is the truth or not. It just sounded good at the time, and it made sense to her.
Look out world! The next time I order at Starbucks, I'm going to take my time, look at the menu, ask questions, and get something I think I'll really like!
ps. My hot chocolate was excellent! (I LOVE hot chocolate!) :)

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...mmm...
I'm with you - I'm not a coffee drinker AT ALL! But, if I do go to a coffee shop, I order a steamer. It's basically hot milk with whipped cream on top and you can add flavors to it. My favorite is chocolate mint, but vanilla, caramel, and some others are good too. I think you'll like it! :)
Oh, I can't wait to stop at Starbucks again! That and Dunkin Donuts... man, I miss those places. Glad you had a good first visit :)
