This weekend Jordyn went to my parents' house with me, and all day Saturday we shopped, and shopped, and shopped!! It was a blast. She found a dress at Boston Store, originally $90, marked down to $25!! We went to the fabric store next and searched high and low until we found the perfect pattern and matching material to make dressy jacket/shawls to go over our "shoulder-barren" arms!! ;) ha ha
Of course, I'm sewing both of them up - which is what I should be at home doing right now.
The last time I had my hair done and was pampered in anyway was for my sister's wedding - Ummmm, that was 6 1/2 years ago - so yeah, I am VERY much looking forward to this Saturday. Sorry if anyone thought I was going with someone, but that's not the case. It's fun to pretend your Cinderella every once-in-awhile! :) (Of course - if you're with my 4 year old niece, you're a princess every day!)
I'll definitely post pictures after this weekend. If I'm bald, you'll know my sewing project went terribly wrong and I pulled all my hair out!! Looking at the positive side - at least then I wouldn't have to worry about paying to get my hair done!! ha ha

Can't wait to see a final picture -and I'm hoping it will be with you in the dress.
I very often did not have dates to the Artist Series (in college) or to the senior banquets (when teaching). That's no reason to not get pampered and dressed up though, so good for you! It's just fun to be a "girly-girl" once in a while!
