Ok - I was suppose to write my funnies down first thing tonight b/c I can't be on the computer long. So what did I do instead - yeah, not what I was suppose to. So I'll write super fast - and you try to keep up! :P
1. Just for fun, I asked my class what the capital of Wisconsin was. We haven't gone over it, and for those of you who don't know it's Madison. One student asked, the capital of the world?? The capital of America?? No, no I said, just of Wisconsin, what is the capital of Wisconsin. Finally, one of my 1st graders, nearly coming unglued bouncing up and down says, "I know teacher, I know!! The capital of Wisconsin is 'W'!!!"
Let me tell you, I about wet my skirt!! Poor kid looked all dejected, like, why's my teacher rolling over with laughter?? I finally composed myself and through little snorts of giggles, I said, well, you are right, Wisconsin is a state's name, so it does have a capital W at the beginning, very good. And I just left it at that. (It had all the other teachers in stitches when I told them too!)
2. One of my 2nd graders looks at me today all bewildered. With his eyebrows furrowed he says, "Teacher, have you ever heard of the author, "unknown?"
ha ha haa ha haa
3. My 1st graders both had their hands raised. One mouths to me that they have to use the restroom, so I said, ok. Then the second one stands up, and says, "Yeah, I need to too, b/c I think we have the same problem!!" I was really shocked and confused. I thought, what, have they been discussing their bowmovements or something??? Well, then the one saw the other heading for the classroom door, and quickly recanted. Ohhhh, uhhh, nevermind. I just mean, can I come up to your desk!!?? I think the one assumed the other had quietly asked to come to my desk. It just tickled me though. "I think we're having the same problem."
Hope you laughed. It's good to laugh!! I love to laugh. I laugh at the same things over and over and over again - well, that's probably partially to do with my short term memory loss - I forget the funnies, so when I hear them again it's like I'm hearing them for the first time! :D

Jessica the captial of Wisconsin was hilarious, did you actually know that, that is a for real blonde joke, I'm not kidding I have it written down somewhere. :)

Yes, I heard the "w" blonde joke a long time ago, but so cute that your little student realized the same thing that blonde did! :P
I think I know another reason my dad liked you so much when you visited -- he could tell YOU the same jokes over and over again, and you would still laugh! (unlike the rest of us who would groan and say, "Dad, you've been telling that same joke since I was FOUR!" LOL)
