Preparing for the Big Night! (Fri. Morn.)

Due to my late night, I didn't get to church until after 9, and as I was passing the gas station I was thinking -- Ohhhh, I really want to stop for a hot vanilla coffee .... but I kept driving.
As soon as I got to the church I was greeted by Chrystal saying she was there at 9:02 (b/c I had given her a hard time about making sure she was on time!), and where was I???? I opened my mouth to defend myself, but before I got a word out (surprisingly enough) she put out her arm and in her hand was a tall coffee from the gas station. I wanted to cry I was soooooo happy!!! I told her so too. ;) A couple of weeks ago when we were talking about what time on Friday we were going to start working I said jokingly - You can bring the coffee Chrystal. .... AND SHE REMEMBERED!!! :D :D (Next time I'm telling her, her job is to bring the doughnuts!! ha ha)

(Notice the tall Coffee cups!!)

Somehow I was able to work. It must have been the Lord b/c I am not one that can normally function on such little sleep. To top it off - I'm usually unbearable to be around (ask my mother! As a kid, it was only once in a great while I could go to sleep-overs b/c when I came home I was a cranky butt! After a sleepover my mom would send me straight up to my room to take a nap -- I never "liked" it, but looking back I can see my mom was (is) a very wise woman!!) :)

We folded the plasticware in napkins and tied a ribbon around them, made favors, cut out game pieces, and made center pieces. There was also a kitchen crew that did soooooo much work.

One of the ladies acted like I cut her finger with scissors while I was cutting ribbon with her, and she about gave me a heart attack!! She was having a good laugh until she saw I was so upset I was almost in tears. (I think the emotional roller coaster there was due to the lack of zzzzz's b/c normally I would come back with a zinger!) The sticks were to use with the chocolate fondu fountain. Of course, some jokesters were using them as weapons! ;P ha ha
