I love tranquil photography, black and white photos, scenes that cause you to get lost in your thoughts. This picture was taken after the first snowfall - looking down my driveway from the porch. If you look closely you can see my mailbox at the end of the snowcovered path.
Ah, my mailbox. Much like my e-mail - it mostly gathers junk. :( *sniff* I love getting mail - but just like e-mails - you have to send some out, in order to get some in!)
I waited a couple of weeks before checking my mail after moving b/c I figured I didn't have any - and as you can see it's quite a trek out to that mailbox!! When I finally did go and check it, before I opened it I pounded around to see if I stirred up anything inside. I don't know, horrible images of an animal's nest w/mice or country cats ready to pounce as soon as the lid opened ran through my mind. I must really be more paranoid than I let on. Or maybe I think I'm doing a good job at acting like I'm not a skiddish nutcase, but in reality, I'm fooling noone.
All paranoa aside - ahhhh, I love how I get lost in this shot. The Lord always knows just what I need - even when I'm not exactly sure.
Thank you Lord for your protection, and grace in my life. Seeing you in your creation, every season, every day is something I take joy in. Please never allow me to loose sight of you.

I was super excited to see my own mail box had something in it today when I walked through the door... (my mail box is cute with little diamond shaped holes in the front to let me peek in...) I flung it open and there it was! The blank white card that comes with the newspaper. LOL... oh well, I hate an empty mail box too. MAYBE we should exchange addresses and take the time to fill them up for each other? :)
