I love how this tree turned out!
I helped Ely with the decorating of this tree and it turned out to be a lot of fun. I wrote "Jesus is the Gift" on red bulbs, and then hung them up so you could read what they say. On the red ribbon, with a gold leafing pen, I wrote "Jesus is the Reason for the Season." For that I made a template on the computer and then traced it. I was glad noone could tell - I didn't want it to "look" like someone had traced it. I wanted it to look more professionally done.
Funny story - regarding communication
Ely made a comment about a 5 loop bow being on top of the tree. She asked if I thought that would be nice, and I was saying, Oh yeah, mm-hmm, and in the next second she moved on to, "Do you know how to make one of those?" and "Uh-Huh" was already coming out of my mouth!! :O Uhhhhh --- Noooo wait - I don't really know how to make one of those!!! It was took late. She had already said, Ok, you can do that then. I knew I had a bow book - I was just praying I'd be able to pull off making this bow. I've made bows for presents and crafts before - so after I got over the freaking out part - I was rather looking forward to the challenge.
Ely had to travel, and so she gave me the supplies and her sketch of what she had in mind and let me decorate to my heart's content. I was glad I had an idea of what she was expecting (through that sketch), otherwise, I don't know how it would have turned out.

... my mom was probably even more grateful for you doing that tree than you were for getting to!!! She mentioned it to me, and you did a wonderful job!
