So Adele just "tagged" me and I'm suppose to blog about 8 weird/interesting things about myself. Her problem was she didn't know if she had 8, my problem is I can only share 8! :) ha ha
1. I teased my mom relentlessly growing up because she would call us names that belonged to other people. She babysat a lot during the day, so between those kids and us, you just learned to respond to any name. Well, now I am the WORST at remembering names. Not just people I meet randomly at church for instance, but people I work with ON A DAILY BASIS!! At the office especially, all but one person have one syllable names. You would think that would make it easy, but it's actually more difficult. As I'm going through the list of names in my head, all of a sudden I start coming up with rhymes! ie: Jack, Tim, slim, rim, dim ---- then I'll catch myself, have to back up, start all over again, all while someone is waiting for me to spit out the name of the person I'm trying to tell them about. This is bad -- really bad b/c I have many years left for my brain to get worse!!
2. During winter especially I cannot leave the house without lotion. It's the craziest thing, but if I do not have lotion it's easy for me to lose my breath. If you blow in a baby's face, you know how they catch their breath....well, that's exactly what it's like for me. My mom has teased me that I need to wear a medical bracelet stating "Before performing CPR, lather with lotion and wait 30 seconds!" ha ha
3. My checkbook has to be balanced to the penny!! The least amount it was ever off by was 3 cents, and I stayed up for HOURS one night until I figured it out. I had overlooked it probably a million times -- the culprit was a digit not written neatly and consequently mistaken for a different number.
4. Before too long, I really want to have my teeth fixed. I hate how they look (don't get me wrong....I'm thankful for my teeth!! I don't want them falling out!), they're just pretty crooked, and I want to try invisalign. I figure since my sister had laser eye surgery, I should be able to do this without feeling too guilty about being vain. I think I would smile more -- wait, I don't think that's possible -- maybe it would just make me smile when I see my smile in pictures. :)
5. People always think I'm about 18 ... and I like it! In the future if someone finds out my age and says, "Yeah, I thought that was about how old you are" I think I'll be devastated!! It's funny when someone says, "Act your age." I really don't know how my age acts!! (I'm saying in general -- people don't tell me to act my age!)
6. I'm afraid that one day I won't be able to play the piano anymore (due to # 7 or arthritis).
7. I'm afraid one day I'm going to go blind (due to the fact that I only have 1 good eye).
8. I think about death a lot!! Almost at an unhealthy level at times. I want my major organs taken out for fear the dr.'s will be wrong and I'll be buried alive! (and just in case -- a bottle of lotion is required to go in the ground w/me!! ha ha jk) Maybe I shouldn't say I think about death at an "unhealthy" level. I guess everyone thinks about it, but personally, I find it to be a quirky thing about myself. I have a hard time watching nature shows -- pretty much I don't watch them at all b/c I always root for the underdog and for some reason the station only shows the program if the underdog loses -- it must be in their contract or something.
Wow!! Was that 8 already?!?! I was ready to keep going. :) ha ha Ok I'm not going to tag anyone -- mainly b/c Adele and I have the same friends. Speaking of friends, I'm hoping after this post, I still have some.

Thanks for sharing! It is neat to learn things you never knew about a person before.
I've had the worry a/b not being able to play the piano anymore too, especially when I experienced severe thumb pain this past year.
Very interesting. I think you should do the tooth thing. I know it bothers you and you would feel so much better. Is it very expensive?
