Journal 10-11-06

After we got back from viewing the ocean we dropped Nathan off for his final speech class. I believe it was a test and any final speeches that had to be given. Arlene and I went to the BX where we found Bath & Body Works lotions and washes on sale! :) I love the smell of Fresh Linen and either that was the name of the lotion we found, or it had a different name, but that's what it reminded of, so I picked up a bottle of bodywash and lotion. I was so excited! I couldn't wait to get back and wash off the days days adventures of exploring through the park, playing on all that equipment, running up and down the steps at the Statue of Liberty replica to get just the right picture, and then being at the oceanside getting dirty once again.

Befor leaving we got a cinnabun for Nathan in celebration of his last day of class, and I got a Strawberry/Banana Chilotte that was watered-down. *Note to self--remember for future reference how you did not enjoy it at all, and never purchase one again!

Then we went back to pick up Nathan from his class. We had to park and wait for him b/c he wasn't quite done. I was in the driver's seat talking to Arlene in the passengers (Ok, I'm leaving this written this way, but I just caught myself messing up. I was in the "passenger's seat" which is on the left side over there, and Arlene was in the driver's seat which is on the right side over there. I had the correct "left/right" positions in my head, but I had the incorrect seat names written down.)

So, I was on the left seat in the front, and talking talking talking away to Arlene, and all of a sudden BANG! Something had just hit the side of the car, on my side!!

AHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I screamed and jumped!! I promise I made an indent in the roof of their car I jumped so hard. It's a good thing we weren't in a sports car with no roof.....I probably would have been on the moon in 2 seconds!

It was Nathan. He saw us sitting there and decided to play a joke. It was already pitch black outside even though it was only about 5-ish. I told him he did not know how, when, or where but I was going to get him back. So he had a pretty good night. He finished his class, had a cinnabun and chocolate drink waiting for him, AND got to freak out his sis and wife! Yeah, he pretty much did the whole laughing under his breath thing the whole way home! I was in the back seat just trying to steady my heart beat!

Took a very refreshing but super quick shower with my new bodywash, and then it was off to church.

What a day! :)
