Last night I watched Josiah in the nursery, and Rebecca gave me some oatmeal to feed him. At first he wasn't really opening his mouth, and I thought feeding him was going to take all night. So I took a little taste to see if it was alright, and I think my face crinkled up like when you feed babies veggies. It was awful. Besides being bland, like it's suppose to be, it was as cold as ice. So I took Josiah and the frozen bowl of mush to the kitchen to zap it real quick. My, what a difference it makes when your dinner is warmed up. After that he was opening his mouth really wide.
It was so funny I wish I would have had my camera. I am really out of practice, with spoon feeding little tikes. I forgot how much their heads bobble and it's hard to get a spoonful of anything solely in their mouths! I had oatmeal all over me, the tray, his face! I was starting to wonder if he was getting anything! ;P He was so cute about the whole thing, I couldn't just stop! :P I kept laughing at him, and he was probably thinking, I don't laugh at you when you eat, can I please get a little respect here.
Oh, and I can't forget. After "dinner" I got to watch him crawl around, and then we played with a beach ball, and we clapped together!!! :D :D It was great! He would watch me clap and then in a wild and crazy way he'd get his two little hands going until he finally got a clapping sound to come out! (I love him at this age, b/c I'm a genius to him right now. :P)
Of course, at the end of the night, he spotted his good pal, Mr. Herold, and got so excited. I was a little sad b/c he didn't get excited when he first saw me, but I'm not with him near as much as other people, so I'm understanding. :) Next time we eat a meal together, I'll be sure to have my camera on hand. Then you can share in the laughs with me!

Boy, I kept trying to get this spot to come up, thought it was useless.
This has nothing to do with your writings, but I am tired if smelling skunk every night. Do you think you could assist in any way????
oh, I'm sorry about the skunk smell, but I don't think I can help. Thanks for thinking of me though! :P (are you calling me a stinker?!) ha ha
I forgot to ask you how much he ate! I'm glad you blogged about it! BTW, where is the bowl? I was looking for it when we left and you were already gone so I wasn't able to ask you. Maybe the kitchen? I didn't look there.
I just blogged about Josiah, but I forgot to say that he learned how to clap. Bad Mommy! Now I have to go back and edit my post. Heehee!
I remembered about his bowl of cereal being in the kitchen before I went to bed, but figured you looked there for it, so I didn't worry about any "church-mice" getting into it. Guess I was wrong. :P He ate good. Almost all of it, but not quite. There was quite a bit in the bowl.
Don't worry--I think you edited your blog quick enough. I only read it once, and the clapping was in there! :P
