Another year my mom and I climbed the stairs at Steeple View. I believe it was a bell tower we were in , and it was just gorgeous.
Two years ago I was in an airplane flying to Japan, and I was able to see some of the most gorgeous colors. Then while in Japan Nathan, Arlene, and I went for a nature hike and we were able to see some of the most beautiful trees ever.
I didn't think I was going to be able to do that this year, but the Lord blessed in a very unexpected way. Three friends from church appeared on my doorstep and said ... We're going to Tim's Hill - Let's go! :O :) The highest point in Wisconsin - A tower already set at a high elevation. I just love to view what God has given to us to show us His hand. He is so great and can do whatever He wants - yet He deamed it possible to allow such a simple pleasure as seeing leaves changing colors before they fall off for the winter.
Certain areas here are almost completely bare (like my yard), but other drives are still quite gorgeous with full, colorful trees. Below are a few shots from my yard tonight. Enjoy!
From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creation's revealing Your majesty
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
All exclaiming
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go
Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow
Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light
Yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night
None can fathom
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
Incomparable, unchangeable
You see the depths of my heart and You love me the same
You are amazing God
You are amazing God

Beautiful pictures and a great song. What could be better? Okay, maybe a cup of hot chocolate. Or better yet....a visit with friends! Happy fall!
