bake a cake

I have a million things to do in the next few days - so what do I decide to do - something that is not on the list and that is of no importance.

I bake and decorate a cake!!!

I've never decorated a cake before in my life!! I bought some tubed frosting, and plastic tips and they've just been sitting in my cabinet forever! I pulled it out last night, when I really could have been doing a slue of other things!

At first I could barely squeeze the frosting out of the tube and my hands were really starting to hurt. I finally opted to microwave them for 8 seconds. That did the trick! Now I'm kind of itching to do more of this!! I shouldn't get ahead of myself though. I still have a to-do list a mile long to get done.

Ps - the kids at school enjoyed devouring it!! Of course, one of my first graders got a stomach ache this afternoon - but I think it was an isolated incident - non-cake related!! ha ha
