Big Bang Theory

No, this post is not about evolution vs. creation -- quite simply, it's about a BIG noise I keep hearing at my house!! It sounds like someone (or worse, something) is trying to ram right through one of the walls!!! It is an isolated blow - it's not like it happens in 20 min. incraments. And the time of when it occurs is never consistent. Sometimes it's in the afternoon, othertimes after dinner, and like today - first thing in the morning. Yeah, not fun - freaking out that you're going to have to defend yourself -- IN YOUR PAJAMAS!!!!!

None of my theories seem to match with the noise. At first I thought maybe it had to do with the cold weather. You know, ice cracking or something to that affect - but could I really have a 3 month build up of ice that cracks and breaks EVERY day!??! And so much so that it shakes the house??

I also tossed around the idea that maybe there's a large animal under the house. But what doesn't fit is: I never see footprints that something is coming OUT, and if nothing's coming out - how's it surviving??

It's just very strange. Since there's no rhyme or reason to these loud obnoxious sounds, every time one takes place I about hit the ceiling. And then for the next few minutes I worry. What if someone really is out there, and now I'm just thinking it's nothing b/c these noises happen everyday?!?! Hmmmm, I wonder if these moments of complete terror count as an aerobic exercise?? They always say - get your heart pumpin'!! Well let me tell you -- My heart's been pumpin' plenty!!!!!!

I wish I could have a recorder going one day at the SAME time that one of these mysterious sounds comes to haunt me. Just so I could proof -- I am NOT going crazy!! There really are audible bangs - it's not just a noise in my head!!

Who knows. Maybe I should start looking for a comfortable white jacket. I may need one soon. ;)
