This is Carl. He works kitty-corner to me, and is always coming over to borrow my stapler. I almost bought him one for Christmas....but then I'd miss his company! This is his sailboat, but one thing I forgot to look for was the name on it. I'll have to ask him later. He kept assuring me if I fell overboard, he'd throw a life preserver out for me. I know he was just trying to be reasurring, but it was funny that he kept repeating it. I finally asked him if he had plans for me to go overboard! :P ha ha We went out beyond the boarders, and it was gorgeous. Not too choppy at all; I could have taken a nap! I felt like I was being rocked to sleep.
Our day consisted of a light lunch at their yacht club, then out on the water we went, and then when we were finished sailing we headed to the ice cream shop for sundaes all around! :D
This is Carl and Marilyn, and son David who went out also. It was actually a good thing he was there b/c I would not have been able to control ropes and what not the way Carl was having him do. I did assist in helping to wind the sail up. It's hilarious how I know absolutely ziltcho sailing lingo. Having people on board that know what they're doing is what made the day relaxing---I wasn't worried about a thing. (that seldom happens!)
I would love to go sailing again. It was so nice to fit it into my schedule this year. Recreational activity is hard to fit in with the odd hours I work. This definitely came at a good time. Now I have the itch to want to be in control next time I'm out on the water. Oh Boy! Look out world!!!

I've always wanted to go sailing, because it just looks so fun and relaxing... but I'm paranoid that I'll get sea-sick, as I have had problems with that in the past. Maybe someday I will give it a try; I mean, I did manage to do fine during the ferry ride last year for the ice festival. Anyway, looks like you had a blast! :)
Those pictures are really neat especially the first one. One more thing to scrap! :D
Trust me, I'm already looking at "sailing-themed" stickers and paper at work! ;)
Looks like fun! What a nice day!
